dV Giochi Deckscape: Behind The Curtain Card Game

I really enjoyed this one. Deckscape is a series that I really like. Probably even more than the unlock series.This game shows that they can keep innovating even though deckscape games are just a deck of cards with no app.I won't spoil the surprises, but this game has things that they have not done previously that you get to use in cool new ways. After we saw one surprise we thought we were done but then they did something else that they hadn't done before.

I thought this game was pretty good, my husband thought it was frustrating. Some of the puzzles were really clever and some were just obscure. I appreciated that you could look at the hints without penalty, but they had to be looked at pretty often to even know where to start.

As a family we've really enjoyed the EXIT escape room games and thought we'd try this one as it seemed like it might be similar. What a mistake.There were one or two good puzzles, but most were either incredibly basic or just completely and utterly obscure. The cards are all in numerical order but it's not made clear at any point that sometimes you need to solve higher numbered cards in order to get the information you need in order to solve some lower numbered cards, which left us very confused as to how we were supposed to figure things out. There was nothing to suggest we needed to skip ahead.A very frustrating game that we got fed up of very quickly.
