I really like this bird feeder a lot and it is a good value. I am only giving it 4 stars because the top can be a bit hard to put back on. Just be aware that you must make sure that the top is fully engaged with the base after you fill the feeder. The first time I used it I apparently didn't turn the top far enough. It's kind of stiff so just make sure that you turn it all the way and you will be fine.

I wanted a birdfeeder for the cat to watch out the window but I don’t have a yard or very much space. I ordered a slim, hollow pole as seen in the photos, and I didn’t want a birdfeeder that was heavy. I live in a pretty windy area, and I did zip tie the birdfeeder to the pole. The only real drawback is that when it’s very windy, the seed blows out a bit. But the birds still go on the ground and eat it, so it’s not terrible. I think that would probably happen with most feeders anyway. The main thing is the cat enjoys watching the birds and this does the job, so I’m happy.

I love this little bird feeder! Especially how the top snaps on with a slight twist. I have other feeders that have lids that drive me nuts and hard to get on without aligning it perfectly. And this feeder is easy to clean. My hand fits inside it to clean out seeds that start growing plants after a rain. Seeds do not get stuck in the openings when moisture us present like other feeders.

The cable that passes through this feeder not only hangs the feeder, it keeps the feeder’s main parts United.We had an almost identical feeder, obviously from the same molds, that lasted about two years. That one fell when the cable frayed where it passes through the feeder’s roof. When this one arrived, I paid particular attention to that cable, and find that it is a definite improvement over the previous one because the cable is protected by a plastic sheath, which should serve to keep it from fraying, and delay corrosion.Much better!

I've tried a half-dozen bird feeders over the past decades, but this is my favorite because it is so well designed. You can pay a lot more for those fancy electronic feeders which you have to recharge the batteries every couple days to discourage the squirrels...I've had several of them. The size is just right for small birds such as chickadees, sparrows, and cardinals. Blue Jays, and black birds don't like it. Squirrels slip off it unless they are able to stretch from the shepherds pole which I use to hang it. It will probably be fair game for deer if you have them in your area. I have two of them right now and the small songbirds love it.

I have to say, it falls far short of my expectations. This feeder feels like something you would find at a 99c store rather than a quality bird feeder.Firstly, the design is quite basic and uninspiring. It comes fully assembled and ready to hang, but the black plastic construction lacks any aesthetic appeal. It simply doesn't add any charm or beauty to my outdoor space. The hexagon shape and inclined roof, although intended to provide shade and protection from the elements, seem flimsy and poorly constructed.The capacity of this feeder is advertised as holding up to 2.15 lb of seeds. While this may sound impressive, the actual functionality is lacking. The seed tray doesn't effectively distribute the seeds, and it often becomes clogged or unevenly filled. As a result, birds struggle to access the seeds, defeating the purpose of the feeder altogether.Moreover, the quality of the materials used is subpar. The twist lock cover, meant to keep the lid securely closed, feels cheap and unreliable. It doesn't provide a tight seal, allowing moisture to enter and spoil the seeds. The clear panels, although intended to make it easy to inspect seed levels, are flimsy and prone to cracking or breaking.In terms of maintenance, the instructions advise checking for insects or fungi weekly and washing with mild soap and water. However, the feeder's construction makes it difficult to clean thoroughly, and I have found it challenging to remove accumulated debris or residue effectively.Considering the price I paid for this bird feeder, I expected a much higher level of quality and functionality. Unfortunately, it feels like a cheap, mass-produced product that lacks durability and aesthetic appeal. I would not recommend this Black Plastic Classic Bird Feeder to anyone looking for a reliable and visually pleasing addition to their bird-watching experience.

Flimsy does not do well in the wind. Spills bird food all over !!! Hopefully I can still replace it or get a refund

A variety of birds are already visiting the feeder so that’s a good sign. It is sturdy, easy to clean and fill. The design adds class and blends in well with either copper or any color.

Arrived broken, I am expected to pay to return it.

Very disappointed in this bird feeder. Very expensive for a plastic feeder, not worth more than 15-20$. First use, half the seeds or more were found on the ground. Mostly used by small birds.

Cheap construction, very flimsy, extremely overpriced. Would not recommend.
