CPIPLU6201ORB Overhead Shower Water-Volume Control, Oil Rubbed Bronze Finish

Quality seems to be excellent. Finish matches existing oiled bronze fixtures and hoses very well. Installation was easy. Water regulation is exactly what I was hoping for.I purchased this so that I could regulate a high volume shower head when we have company so that hot water wouldn't run out so quickly. Works perfectly for this application.Packaging was minimal, but the product arrived with no flaws. Time will tell if it holds up from occassional use.

I think I like the sliding kind of valve better, but this works fine, no leaks, and perfect color match.

The valve is basically a ball valve without a stop for ball/handle. Ball valve is great and does the job and fully stops flow when you find the correct position for the handle/ball since there is no stop. The ball opening is definitely not a full port size or even close to full, but is large enough that I didn’t notice a flow/pressure difference while taking a shower. Looks good as well. The problem with it is that the threads are way too long and deep on female side of valve. They provide a rubber o-ring/gasket in there but it is not thick enough to compensate for the length of the threads and most threads on any shower arm will not be long enough for the end of shower arm to reach the rubber and make a proper seal. I used Teflon tape as well but did not put enough tape to compensate for the depth of the female threads on valve to make a seal and I was using the thick grey Teflon tape. Was trying to stop the leak by tightening but recommend you don’t do that because you run the risk of moving your shower arm unless you have a pipe wrench on it, which I would normally not need with this type of installation and didn’t want to mare the shower arm. My shower arm turned and now I have to take it out and make sure Teflon tape is right with no leaks on reinstallation… making sure of no issues down the road from leak within wall. Just a lot of stuff to deal with for adding a shutoff valve before my shower head that could have all been avoided with proper length and depth on female thread side of valve.

Function:It shuts off the water to the main shower head and lets me divert all water to an auxiliary head I installed for bathing the dog. Works perfectly.Does not appear to affect pressure/volume when opened.Installation:Super easy to install. Used a little pipe tape (teflon) and put it on. Hand tight plus half turn.Looks:It matches with the rest of my oil rubbed bronze showerhead pretty well, but not great. However, I've come to learn that such is the nature of oil rubbed bronze.

Bought two for our shower… unfortunately when we got them, they sent us 2 different colors…

Pricey but a solid valve that looks great and functions great. This valve has no stop or fixed on/off position. It will rotate in either direction and "does" turn the water completely off if desired. Parallel its full open. Perpendicular is full off etc.

Horrible product. Does not match description.

Really nice product. Matched perfectly with our current Oil Rubbed Bronze fixture. With Teflon tape I managed to get it stop flow completely. My only gripe? It does reduce the water flow. I expected that, but a perfect version would not impede the water flow at all.
