I was so excited to try this brand and flavor of Topokki! I have a couple of ones that i love and buy them all the time. I ordered this brand and got home and opened the first package and it was wet and moldy It kinda looks like it had sauce in it. So I opened the 2nd package and the noodles looked dry but still had mold growing on them. I was so bummed because I had been looking forward to trying them.

This is the closest tasting instant version of the real deal that you can buy on the streets of Seoul! I’m so impressed by this that I had to leave this detailed review that I hope someone finds helpful and informative. It is easy to cook in the microwave. Follow the directions and you can’t mess this one up! It’s so easy. The rice cakes are the perfect chewy texture and the sauce is nice and thick, not watered down. The flavor is that familiar and beloved dry heat with just the smallest taste of sweetness but not overly sweet which is one more thing that makes Pink Rocket topokki stand out from the other instant topokki’s you can buy on Amazon. It’s spicy make no mistake about that but it is delicious and if you like spicy food you will love this. It’s so full of flavor! This will not be the last time I purchase this I’m not disappointed at all.

Not being from Korea and it having been a couple of decades since I was there last, I cannot vouch for how close this is to "authentic". I can say that it does taste as I remembered and is easy to prepare and a nice complimentary side for many Korean and non-Korean meals.As a side note, I didn't realize Tteokbokki was gender specific as my packages say "for the lovely girls" on the front. I ate some anyway with no ill effect, so maybe as long as you eat it in the company of "lovely girls" your safe.

I've never had authentic Korean tteokbokki before but this instant kind was very good. The carbonara flavor has a subtle cheesiness that isn't overpowering and it's a really good sauce. I do like that the consistency of the sauce is more on the thick side than being too watery. Great chewiness to the rice cakes too even with being prepared in a microwave. I look forward to trying more flavors of tteokbokki!

I bought two of these, so I got four packages total. All four were molded and the dried rice cakes were cracked and disgusting. No return because of it being a perishables food item. I don't read Korean, but I suspect that these were well past their date and stored improperly.

Very salty had to add more water. Your better off with plain rice cakes and a jar of Alfredo sauce. I’m glad I tried it but u wouldn’t buy it again.

I just got these today and had to make one. The flavor isnt what I thought it would be but now that I just took another bite, I find it has grown on me. It does have a mildly spicy after taste and the flavor is kinda like an herbal ranch. I read a review complaining about the chewiness but I am diggin' it. Gotta try these at least once.

It's okay. Not amazing or anything, but still good. I think because it's just okay the cost seems like a lot. It's got a mild cheese taste. The water/sauce ratio get you a perfect consistency. The sauce itself is what makes it seem mediocre. It's not strong in taste.
