Bad reviews? Can't relate!
These are fantastic! My dog is currently on 3 different medications for a degenerative disk disease (IVDD) episode in his lower back. I picked these "pill pockets" for their price point and natural ingredients. Each pocket comes separately wrapped to keep them fresh and moist. I love that they don't smell like fish bait, like the common store brand, and my dog loves them as well. No, they do not have a hole in them, so I guess they are more like a pill... nugget? But anyways, I literally just push the pill/capsule and it sinks in with ease. Depending on my mood that day, I will sometimes use my pinky to make a small dent for the pill to go in, but it's really not necessary. They are also very soft and malleable and they do not crack or fall apart when manipulated, and plenty big enough to fit pills of all sizes.Unfortunately, my pup will have this disease for the rest of his life, he takes his pills 3 times a day and I definitely plan on purchasing these tasty pill nuggets for him again and again.

Material is not pliable enough to wrap pills
I had been using a pill wrap/paste for my dog's pills. He has started to recognize the smell of that paste and picked out the wrapped pills. I thought I'd try this trio because I could mix up the flavors/scents and maybe fool him a bit longer. I did not find the material to be pliable AT ALL. The chicken was slightly more pliable than the beef or peanut butter, but it was still a pain to use. It was impossible to get around a large pill. The material just broke up instead of molding around the pill. He takes a few tiny pills, and I could break off pieces of this to mold around the small ones, but it was really wasteful the amount needed to get the material to hold together. I was very disappointed. I thought that maybe they were "old" and had dried out, but they were not beyond an expiration date. I have switched flavors of the pill wrap I was using before, and it is MUCH easier than these pockets.

Nice but your dog may not be willing to eat them
My dog has recently begun taking allergy pills so I wanted grain and gluten free pill pops for him, alternative to the conventional pill pockets sold at stores. Excluding the ginger part in the beef ones (I don't any dog that would be enticed to eat ginger flavored anything) in theory these seem like they would be great and they're individually wrapped for freshness/on-the-go convenience, but the whole point is for your dog to be willing to eat them.My dog will do no such thing; the peanut butter is somewhat easier to get him to take but even that takes quite a bit of coercion or sneakiness. I feel like I may as well buy a tub of peanut butter because other than the messiness of it, plain old peanut butter works without effort.Thinking it just may be my dog's pickiness that was the issue I tried these out with our guest dog when giving her Comfortis flea med. This is a big pill and it smells like bug spray. When given to her I break it down into four 1/4 pieces to be able to mask it well enough that she'll eat it.With Zoe pill pops she spit out every piece, several times until I just used her regular Greenies chicken pill pockets. She is not known for being picky with anything I give her, but because these Zoe pill pops did not have enough scent to mask the pill smell she would not take her dose. I've also used just plain peanut butter for her pill before, which worked with no fuss at all.I hope that Rolf C. Hagen Corp can address the non-palatable-ness of these pops in the near future.

Too troublesome to open & no pill "hole".
My dog love the flavor of these just fine. The problem isn't with the actual product itself well it kind of is and I'll explain that in a second. First of all, it is way too difficult to open. You must have a pair of scissors on you or use your teeth because the indentations on the plastic barely work and then the two pill pellet just fly everywhere. So once you have the scissors then you have to squeeze them out of the package while the dog is sitting there waiting to take his pill. Once you get the packet open there are no holes inside the pellets for you to place the medication in. There are two pellets in each mini packet and those are inside the larger packet so it's just way too much packaging and not a user-friendly package at all. I would not recommending this because if you don't want to spend two to three minutes standing there trying to get these open and then trying to stick your pill in then don't waste your time. Sorry to the company. I really was looking forward to having these and having my dog enjoying these but they are not convenient at all.

Dog's breath STINKS
While my dog had no qualms with this product, she's a lab and will put literally anything in her mouth except a plain old pill. However, having two in a wrapper was annoying, as was my husband's proclivity for leaving the wrapper lay on the table after being emptied. But most importantly, my dog's breath stank so bad after she had these, which is really bad considering she tends to get in our face with love. Maybe another flavor wouldn't be so bad, but there are other products that accomplish the same goal without the annoyance of the wrappers and stinky breath. Also, I can't really rate the flavor, but I assume the dog gives it a 5 out of 5, which is the same she would give poop so....

There is no hole in the center
So, overall, if you have nothing else, this isn't the worst thing to use but it's not anywhere nearly as convenient as Greenies Pill Pockets. I tried them because Greenies discontinued their grain free pockets. These are deceiving from the picture because the pill or capsule does not just go into the center of the pill pop. It tends to crumble and is harder to wrap around the pill/pills. Overall, I was disappointed in ease of use. My dogs were okay with the taste but it took a couple before they realized they were worth eating.
