RESONATE RouterUPS CRU5V2A - UPS (Power Backup) for Wi-Fi Router, ONT Device, CCTV (CRU12V)

I never thought that there is such a product in market for this unique problem. I have power backup in my apartment and when the current goes off there is a 30 seconds delay for the backup generator to come up. Similarly when the power comes back , my automatic change over switch will switch it back to mains where there will be a short flicker during the process. Both of the times the WIFI Router will restart and it takes a min or more some time for the WIFI router to show all the 4 lights ( I use D-Link). This is a big irritation as some times i work from home/ taking a presentations from home office.This product works perfectly and with some min combinations of the wires that came along with it i was able to install the product properly with my Router. When the power fluctuates the WIFI will work without any issue . Now its almost a month with no major issues.However please take care of these initial hiccups.1. If you are using a non standard adapter / Adapter which u bought from the local store this product may not always behave properly . I had an issue with my local adapter , where i later found that the Adapter was not proper ( somehow my WIFI router kind of ignored these issues but not this UPS ). It only worked seamlessly after i changed my adapter.2. Service is very very good. Resonate team was patient enough to understand the initial problem that i faced and even offered a replacement.Cons1. The product is slightly expensive ( From my point ) if you are a home user and don't really mind a router restart and the time associated with it . Only go for this if you are working from home.I am still not sure how long it will continue to work for me . But so far i am satisfied :-)Sajith

Excellent Customer Service! That's the first thing I'll remember when I think about Resonate. When I bought this the first time, I realized it too late that the 12V was incompatible with my router. Once I initiated the refund someone got back to me, kept in touch with me regarding the refund. He spoke so professionally and handled the issue so well that I couldn't help but commend them on their service. They promised me to send an alternate item as soon as it was out and although they forgot to communicate it to me and took quite a few days to send me the right item, I still appreciate their sense of quality service to customers. I'll definitely buy another product from them when i need one. Apart from that, the product is absolutely worth it. Gives very good backup and it is perfect for my use. Thank you, Resonate.

Simple, elegant and innovative solution to ensure 'Uninterrupted' power supply for small mission critical equipments like modem, routers, Cordless gigasets. This currently supports equipments with a capacity for 12V +/- 1.2V which would work fine with most modems and routers. This solution comes in particularly handy for people who already have 24/7 power backup available in the house but get disconnected from internet due to power cuts. It does not hold much value for such folks to invest in tens of thousands in an exhaustive power backup, UPS system. The transition to backup with this device is absolutely seamless and works great for upto about 4 hours which is more that sufficient to enable a switch to backup power. I must mention that apart from the regular (very good) Amazon packaging, this unit comes in top class packing of its own. I am very happy to see such finesse in home products.I only wish that Resonance team also come up with more choices for voltages, like for most heavy duty routers etc the Input voltage is 19-20V. And also a lower voltage variant for Phones of 5V - 6V. I would also love to see a similar device that supports two simultaneous Output ports.

I bought the UPS in the month of August 2016 and then was very happy with the performance. a It helped to in keeping my router working in my art menu where a current cut would require 5s for DG to switch on.I was looking into compact power backup solution and found it this one.But in 1minth time I realized that my router would would switch when power goes. And that the UPS was not storing any power.Then I realized how cheap the product is in terms of its quality. The product is so costly I would have bought a normal APC UPS. I'm highly disappointed.My biggest shock is that how many people have it so high and written such good things. You wonderful if many of them are true. I hope they are.I hope resonate folks take action and help out customers like me who feel that they have been hard done by 🙁

Worked well till it worked....now it's become junk...not sure if it's a problem with the adapter used...goes on blinking when switched on...

1. This works Perfectly fine with Beetel TC405 router which comes with Airtel Lan Line2. It is very small and aesthetic . I have used only one cable to connect ups to router , so i am not sure about other two cables which came with the pack3. I did two test with this UPS - Both are fineA. Connect UPS with router and data transfer is happening , switch off power source - Data Transfer Via router is not interrupted because UPS powers the router in no lag timeB. When UPS was powering the router , switch OFF UPS , then it switch ON again - It powers router fine ( basically this required to save charge on UPS , say your work is over in 20 mins , switch off ups and switch it ON only when required )4. As of now , I have not tested the total back up timings of the UPS , I will do the test and post it later . ( I tested it for 30 mins , it was powering router with no glitch )I have given 5 star - because - It solved the problem perfectly fine

I have 2 of them 12V and 5V using it for last 6 months. The 5V works perfectly fine whereas the 12V creating some problem. It works fine when power is available but when power goes off, it trips for a second and the router reboots. Once it comes up it works normally till the power gets restored or battery gets over. Due to this 2-mins outage I am not able to join the office meetings from home. Real purpose got defeated.No clear information about the service center details in their website. Their website sucks. Their customer care email hopeless.
