They are very well made. Razor sharp, yes I shaved the hairs on my arm. They hold an edge well and personally, I find easy to hone back into shape. The down side for me... The lager knife's blade is a bit too long for my taste. I got a nice slice because I choked up on the blade. A little tape on the blade will solve that issue and not a deal-breaker for me. The handles appear unusually large at first but very nicely ergonomic., a nice solid feel but slippery if one chooses to wear a glove. I really have not used the hook tool yet, so no comment. The strop and compound works well. Overall a good value for your dollar!

This set of carving tools is very suitable for beginners, even if you are a carpenter, it doesn't matter if you have manual carving technology. As long as you have this set of carving tools,you will find that in fact, manual carving is not too difficult. This set of carving tools is light and portable. The blade is very solid and comfortable. The blade is very sharp. It can cut wood like paper. It took me an hour to finish my first piece. In addition, it comes with a knife sharpener. It’s very easy to manage.

This set is missing something. Not something physical; everything I ordered I received so that's not it. It didn't take too long for me to figure out what was missing. I'm still a novice at whittling and woodwork so when I received the leather strop and little green block, I had no clue how to use it.After several instructional videos not shown here, I finally figured it out. Man, does that work or what? It's incredible. My straight blades stay razor sharp all the time. It's a wonder that surgeons don't use the same method to sharp their scalpels.But with the curved blade? It's a lost cause. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to sharpen the curved blade. It's the whole reason why I bought the kit; it's so I could carve and whittle a spoon for my love. But I can't do that because the blade dulls so easily. Guess I have to figure something else out.

I decided to take up whittling with all the “shelter in place”” orders from COVID-19; helped keep me sane. I started with a pocket knife but quickly learned I’d need a little more “firepower”. This set was perfect. All 3 blades were easy to use. Sharpening stone is great and comes in a nice case. Great value for the money.

Okay, so I am a novice wood carver. Something I've always wanted to try. This set was in my price range and had the tools I was looking for. These wood carving tools widled so nicely.Smooth easy cuts. Easy to sharpen. Nice handles to hold, not uncomfortable in the hand.Came in nice case with sharpening stone and leather.Would totally recommend or buy as a gift!

These make a good gift for someone just getting into carving or for younger people. The knives are not very sharp and do not hold an edge for much carving. I’m slowly replacing mine with Drake Knives. However for the price, you can’t expect much. You don’t buy a Prius and expect the performance of a Ferrari. Overall not bad, just don’t expect easy cuts on anything but maybe basswood.

Only used on small projects so far, but it holds up pretty well. Handles are comfortable. Can be used right it out if the box, but I would recommend a quick sharpening (or at least check if yours need it).This is my first set as I wanted to see if carving was for me. I might ultimately upgrade, but this is a decent starter set for the price.

I hesitated for not knowing this company. I'll be back for more. Very nice carving set. Scary sharp out of the box. Really. I've carved off and on for years but never had a good set of tools. These are very good quality, way beyond the price. A lot of fun to use.
