Brain Games - Large Print Bible Crosswords (Brain Games - Bible)

I bought this booklet because I am a Christian, and I assumed from the title that the crossword puzzles would be mostly about the Bible. I was disappointed because almost all of the puzzles have less that 25 percent clues that actually have anything to do with the Bible, and some of the clues seem oddly inappropriate. For example, in the crossword puzzle titled "Finish the Proverb 2" only 8 clues out of 84 clues had anything to do with the Bible, and only 2 clues were from Proverbs- with a third citing Proverbs when it was actually from Psalms (#1 across). However, one clue did ask you to name " Snoop Dogg's genre" and another clue asks for the "short" name for "Pricey vodka. " Other clues from other puzzles: what's slang for "blind drunk", or fill in the blank for "Cyndi Lauper's '_____just want to Have Fun" ". And there are many more examples like this. Don't buy this books expecting to immerse yourself in scripture.

I bought this for my son in law,a minister, for his birthday. I was excited to buy him this thinking he'd have fun and his kids would too. It was basically a joke, it was so far off with the answers it was hysterical, and sadly a waste of my money. It is such a sham that this was about the Bible,when it wasn't, I was embarrassed. My advice don't purchase this unless the answers are not of the Bible but silly.

DO NOT BUY THIS BOOK!!! The bible says that "GOD" is not the author of confusion." On my very first puzzle, I had to look up an answer that was referenced to a particular verses in the bible. When I went to the verse, it was not there. (Remember: "GOD...." not CONFUSION). It wasn't in the King James version. I had to look up many, many versions of the bible, until I finally found it in the Christian Standard version. I said to myself, "Well, maybe they used the Christian Standard version throughout their puzzle book. Upon another cross reference, I looked in the Christian Standard version, and it WAS NOT THERE. I found the answer in yet ANOTHER version of the bible, the Amplified version. THIS IS CONFUSION at its highest level when it comes to consistency. OMG! This company should not be supported, knowing that they are doing this. Peace everybody.

I was looking forward to a good Bible crossword puzzle book. I was very disappointed. Most of the Bible verses are quoted incorrectly. Most puzzles do not reference the Bible.

I bought this for my father and I to do and was very disappointed in it. First, I don't think I missed it but the version that the verses are written is not the King James or even the New King James version. So, my bible did not have the words they were looking for on most of the clues. My father who is a pastor did not like it either. So, I would not recommend this to anyone and would advice you make sure to find out what version they are using with the verses.

This book is not just crossword puzzles. It is an EXCELLENT WORKBOOK for Bible study! IT IS VERY INTENSE. I would highly recommend it to anyone that is serious about learning and memorizing scripture. I do not know what version of the Bible this is. I do a lot of crosswords but this book for the price is well worth every cent!

For all those who need to keep their mind going and challenged, who love the Bible this is a really good Christian book to help!!!

I purchased this for my 84 year old mother to enjoy while having to stay at home during the pandemic. She was happy to receive it and recalled that her own mother had enjoyed crossword puzzles. So glad this company had a large print and Biblical crossword book, because it is something that my mother could relate to and enjoy. It includes the answers in the back, in case she gets It was delivered on time and I would purchase again from this seller.
