Max loved it...your cat could too
Bought this for a friends cat. Max is around 13 years old and is in that 'I can't be bothered so DON'T bother me' stage in his life. Well when I see him I can be bothered and like to have a little play with him. On the whole he is typical cat in his behaviour i.e. on his terms only. Well, he can be lazing around sleepy eyed but as soon as this is dangled in front of him he gets an energy surge and goes a little bit berserk for a few minutes! Very funny to see, a lazy grumpy old man darting around as if he was a kitten again (don't think it'll work on humans though). The item is very well packaged and presented. There are seven different accessories to tie/clip onto the wooden stick. Operating instructions are not provided so just in case...Take out the long wooded stick attach one of the several items from the box (comes with the mouse already attached so perhaps start with that and work your way up). Stretch out your arm (the one with stick in it) and dangle the object in front of the cat (you will need a cat to be able to pull this off) and watch your cat either love it or hate. Fortunately Max loves it (phew).

Cats love it!
The product itself is fabulous. The toys themselves are well made. They are lightweight but robust and my 2 year old Bengal, just loves the string mice which he can carry around easily in his mouth and bat up and down the stairs, and the cloth mouse on a line is another hit. The presentation box is solid and well made, and although one or two of the items had come out of the slots during the journey they were easy to replace. My one complaint has nothing to do with the product itself. Since it comes in a gift box, why oh why did Amazon stick the delivery label and bar code directly to it? It was also sealed with Amazon Prime tape. I tried to peel these off very, very carefully but there was no way they were shifting without taking the surface off the box. Not a problem as I bought these for myself (or for my cats anyway) bot something to think about if you are buying as a gift!

Beautiful presentation and the cats love it!
Definitely a recommend. It's a good price and the cats absolutely love it. It's also wonderfully packaged and designed. I also purchased Cat Toy Feather Wand (Includes 3x Feather Refills) also from The Natural Pet Company. These were an even bigger succes!Below you will find a few extra cat supplies recommends that I feel are virtually failproof (imo) for cats. Not sure if it's appropiate to list them here but generally cat supplies tend to be trial and error purchases because cats are such fussy little buggers so I hope it is appreciated!1 PAWZ Road Collapsible Cat Tunnel (Or any cat tunnel really) Guaranteed succes.2 Purr Paw CAT BRUSH Extra Soft Silicone PinsThe best cat brush I ever had. It gets mounds hair and gives them a nice massage at the same time. The older cat comes running when he sees it, probably because he has more trouble grooming himself. He is totally relaxed when being groomed, rolls over by himself to indicate to do his tummy or the other side. The younger one is generally more fussy but she really likes it as well. The design is rather clever as it fits your hand perfectly and it basically mimics stroking your cat.3 PetFusion Ultimate Cat Scratcher LoungerExpensive but all my cats really loved it. If this one is too expensive for you you can always look for a cheaper one but ‘scratching your nails and a bed in one’ seems to be a cat’s idea of heaven.4 Kivikis Cat CaveAnother expensive item but again, when I bought one to give it a try both cats were fighting non stop who got to sleep in it. We've had lots of cat baskets and beds over the years mainly to keep them out of our bed but this one is without a doubt the winner. It's the material (wool felt) that makes the difference. I had to purchase another one to put an end to all the bickering. There’s is something about this little cave that makes them sleep like the dead. It's like an artificial womb.5 Trixie Cat Activity Fun BoardSlows the cat’s eating down significantly which is a big bonus, keeps them engaged and active and they don’t lose interest in this one. I’ve had other bowls to slow down their eating or challenge them to play but they either quickly lost interest or it wasn't particularly sturdy. I can tell that this one keeps them genuinely interested. It's good for us as well as it keeps them away from the table and stops all the begging for scraps as we have our dinner.6 Cat Mate Fresh Water Drinking Fountain (=plastic) or Lucky-Kitty Car Drinking Fountain (=Ceramic)(I had the cat mate first, which is cheaper and was a succes but when it broke down I replaced it with the ceramic one. It seemed to me a cat might prefer a 'natural' product to plastic and I can confirm that the cats definitely prefer this one. (It’s from a German company so it will be fine for EU customers but I’m not sure if a UK plug will be provided. You might want to check this first)Enjoy!

Potentially Dangerous
We bought these toys for our 1 year old cat. She loved the jingly toys especially. However, after 3 weeks of playing with the chaser toy, we noticed the bell attached had stopped jingling. She had a habit of gnawing at the bell, but as this is supposed to be a cat safe toy we thought nothing much of her doing so, but we did try to discourage this behaviour regardless. So on noticing the lack of jingle, we pried open the other jingle toy’s bell to see what she might’ve ingested, and found not a ball bearing, but a small piece of cylindrical metal with rough edges. We booked an emergency vet appointment and took her to be looked at, expecting a large bill with x-rays. Luckily the vet gave her the all clear. However, this should not have even been an issue, sharp metal pieces should not be in cat toys, especially when the metal is flimsy enough for a small cat to bend.Sadly due to this, I cannot recommend these cat toys, which is disappointing as we thought they were great up until now.

Beautiful, eco friendly toys
Our kittens love these. They particularly love the toys on the stick and the elastic, but they also love to chase the rolling toys across the floor. I like that some toys have bells in and some don’t - so we can choose how noisy we let things get! The presentation is beautiful, would be the perfect gift for someone which a new kitten.
