I brought this rod for my ten year old son as was travelling to Scotland for two weeks and we were staying near a couple of lochs and on the Isle of Mull. Rod and reel can be put in rucksack and set up within couple of minutes and we caught mackerel and Pollock and handled both types of fish really well. My only advice would be to buy some more lures as the rod only comes with a few and these are soon lost and perhaps some stronger line if you want to consitently fish for Pollock as these put a lot of strain on line. However for a beginner kit this is really good.

I bought this fishing rod to take on holiday, 1st time using it all but one rod eyelets fell off, absolute joke. I was fishing on a shingle beach and the smallest end eye fell off and was lost in the shingle.A stick with a piece of string attached and a bent safety as a hook would of been better.How Amazon allow such rubish to be sold by them is beyond me.This seller needs reporting!

If you want a pole and reel that’s easy to carry around and confident in its ability to catch big fish I would recommend this one to the fullest. Not only is it compact but the strength of the pole is in parallel to any other pole I’ve seen of this caliber. Good combo choice with reasonable price! Not to mention the customer service is outstanding they make sure their customers are satisfied at all cost and that’s something you don’t see often.

Great Starting kit for Children.bought this for my sons.. easy to setup.. + Lightweight.The Pointer got damaged the first time. then when trying to disassemble two of the ring came off i guess it was my fault so you have to be careful when doing it.used superglue @ home and now working again.the Reel feels good is smooth and good enough for their needs.

I like this sets as it comes with everything, rod, lures, reels, line, floats and also a nice bag to carry everything inside. Probably nice gift a holiday since it has everything you need in one case. High quality It is very portable and easy to assemble. This makes it great for taking on trips where space is limited (especially on airplanes). It will be a perfect for some who wanna start or add an extra rod who already into it. I'm happy with this. I bought this fishing kit for me and my son, so I could teach him how to fish.When it arrived everything seemed to be good, we went to portugal for holiday and decided to go fishing, upon opening the fishing rods the eyelets on one of the fishing rods just crumbled into pieces and unable to use that fishing rod.

I bought this product because i liked the price and value of it. After receiving this item I was amazed at the quality. The rod seems very well made and the reel is working so smooth. This rod and reel combo is light enough for me to handle and very easy to cast. Best reel and rod I've ever used very satisfied will buy more products.
