Works on flies, not my favorite though
I got one of these and a Black Flag one. This is by far the lesser of the two. First off, it is not a grid of wires, it's a bunch of parallel wires and a little wider spaced. It definitely did it's job on a couple of flies I saw in the house but have yet to see it work on a mosquito. To be honest though, I haven't see one. But it looks like it's possible for smaller bugs to escape between the wires. And those wires are uneven. Some are closer to the others, some are further apart. The other issue is with the holding position. 70-95% of the population is going to be holding this in their right hand with their thumb on the button. In this position, my pinky finger and the one next to it are on the battery door. Which is just a slide on/off. And in a few trial runs, I've accidentally opened the door twice. With the Black Flag one, my palm covers the battery door, holding it on securely. Plus, there's a squeeze latch to even open the case. The handle is better too. more of an oval like a tennis racket. It just seems like a much more natural grip. This one seems to be cheaply designed. Get the Black Flag one.

It will kill the fly. It will not bring the fly back to life.
I bought this to kill a fly. It killed the fly. And I feel bad that I killed the fly. So I tried to use the electricity in the flyswatter to bring it back to life. The fly did not respond. He remains expired.

Best Handheld Zapper
NO IDIOT RESISTANT SAFETY SCREEN! Not that you can do much harm to yourself touching the live wires powered by two AA batteries. Larger horse and deer flies sometimes bounce off the type that have a safety screen.

Fried Stink Bugs.
Yes, this kills stink bugs. My only complaint is that the wires are bit far apart and smaller bugs might escape through. Other than that it works like a champ, and gets stink bugs on the first whack. Mosquitos take a few swats to get them. Regular house flies, first swat. It is best for house files. I can't wait to try this on the deer flies that buzz around me outside.

Buzzzzz. Zap. Dead
Love this zapper it has bigger spaces in the mesh but still gets all the bugs. Nothing more satisfying than giving it back to aggravating BUGS!

It works!
Have had this zapper for over a year. Only use occasionally when a house fly gets in the house, but when they do, I'm glad I have the zapper! Have not had to change the battery yet, but don't need to use too often. FYI, very large houseflies can recover after a minute, but at least they fall to the ground where you can get them!

Not good for really big flies. Takes two or three zaps.
Here in Arizona we have big fat flies. This zapper is not strong enough to kill them the first time. If it singes their wings then they fall to the floor and I can step on them but I would prefer to kill them outright with one zap.

The worse zapped ever seen
This thing sucks and weak it doesn't kill them. Each time it zapped they fall then fly right back up. I rather used dynazap its more stronger electric. Use a aa lithium rechargeable batteries. It has a higher electric to kill them instantly.
