This canister is the absolute best container to keep your beans as fresh as possible. The sliding lid gets right down to the beans to keep the air surrounding the coffee to the bare minimum.

This is a great canister for storing coffee. I love than the interior lid pushes the air out of the canister to help keep the beans from going stale. The kilo size is the largest I've found and it works nicely for the Costco sized bags of coffee that are 2lbs.It was also packaged really well, wrapped in a muslin bag inside the box so the powder coat finish was protected and the finish was pristine. I also really like that there's a rubber ring on the base, to keep the canister from sliding, or scratching any surfaces.

This canister easily holds a full 2-lb. bag of Peet's coffee from Costco. Albeit I used the coarse grind setting at the store before I left but 2-lbs. of coffee beans nevertheless. The pressure lid goes down hesitantly (as it should) as you can hear the air escaping, and the top lid can use a handle for some users but not for me as my fingers can easily pry it open. It's actually nice to stack smaller canisters on top of this huge surface.Also, I cannot smell the delicious aroma when I'm around it like others have stated. Seems pretty airtight to me. Overall it feels solid, sturdy, and excellent quality. I'm very happy with my purchase and I'd highly recommend it.

This canister looks great and feels like a quality product. I like everything about it. It looks great on my counter with my Bonavita drip coffee maker and my Baratza grinder. I just unboxed it but I have no doubt it will keep my coffee fresh. It's very obvious that the air is escaping as you push the lid down.Part of the reason I bought this is because so many other coffee canisters look like cheap plastic.The other part of the reason I bought this was for it's capacity. Which brings me to the 4 star rating. I would've given this 5 stars however the product title and listing says 2.5 lbs and right on the box it says 2.2 lbs. I've been buying a brand of coffee beans that only comes in a 5 lb bag. My plan was to store half on my counter in this and the other half in my previously used OXO plastic container in my pantry. Not sure if I'll be able to do that now but the product looks so nice, I decided to keep it even though I contemplated returning it. Also, most coffee brands come in 2 lb packages or less so in those cases, this will be more than adequate.Nobody seems to make a 5lb coffee canister except for one other manufacturer and those seem to look kind of junky since they're just plastic.I know this is a minor complaint but still, I don't like misinformation in product descriptions and I think people should know. For most people, this is not an issue but I know I'm not the only one buying 5 lb bag of coffee.

This canister is large enough to hold Costco 2 pound coffee bean bag. It is simple to use and looks good. Well built and works as advertised. I bought a second smaller canister as I like these so much.

Well built with non-skid bottom, tight fitting interior and exterior lids, the interior one with a sturdy handle. Finish is matte, and so far, chip resistant. Eliminates air as described to keep whole beans or grounds fresh. Not excessively big, but not small, needs adequate counter of shelf space.
