I love the fact that this product is well built, and has just the features i am looking for with none of the unnecessary additions that might make it fragile or flaky. It just reads your cards. Perfectly every time. I have 6 of these stashed in different places so that when i take pictures or video, i always have a quick way of getting my photos and videos.

My laptop stopped reading my SD cards and this card reader bought it back to life without having to do anything other than plugging it into a USB slot. There was no lag time and my old Lenovo 2012 G510 laptop running Windows 10 recognized it immediately.

I lost my last adapter and was worried I would need to spend a lot to get another. Works for Micro and SD card. Data transfer is fast and have come across no error in transfers.I personally use it to make data slides for showroom TVs, this would be great for a photographer for quick and painless downloads.

My new laptop didn't have a slot for sD cards, but this works perfect! After trying 2 others (that ended up not being compatible with my laptop) this one was perfect. I take lots of pictures with my Nikon camera, and this lets me view, edit and share my pictures!

After using this for almost a year and only a handful of times I finally got to use it for its intended purpose. I ran into a problem. I used this device to transfer files from my Sandisk Extreme cards to a WD Black hard drive. I was freeing space while travelling. I shot 89 videos. At least 6 are corrupted beyond recovery by any of three software solutions I tried. All my gear is top shelf. All but this product. I would say that if your files are as important to you as mine are to me, pass on this.I contacted the seller. They said I should send my files to a professional recovery service. I already knew I would have to do that. They also said not to use a hub. My hub is powered and reliable. It is not a cheap one that relies on usb power.

I was excited when this product arrived 2 days after i ordered it. However my Windows 7 Pro PC couldn't detect an proper driver for it to work. I checked the SmartQ website and there's no software or drivers to download and use... and i didn't want to go back and forth to troubleshoot this USB c307 MicroSDXC reader, therefore returned it and will buy something locally that will work right out of the box w/o needing to look for a driver. Quite disappointed since i need to 'offload' my videos to edit. If it worked it would get 5 stars since it's compact and 'no brainer' to use... but requiring a driver made things complicated and it's unfortunate.

I use this a lot to back up all photos from my camera's SD cards.It only works properly is used in a fully powered USB port. (The one that you can charge a phone with, not all UBS ports have this - look for a battery icon or lightning bolt next to your UBS port) Works perfect once I figured this out.

These are great to have as you can format all the cards (regardless the size) to 'exFAT' and then use it on any computer and Android device. Both Cards show up and you can read, write, transfer and whatever else you may want to do with them. A Really Good Purchase.! But Get The ''DUO''.!Enjoy...

Do not buy this!! I used it to read SD cards from my camera to my phone or laptop. But half the time I connect it corrupts the card and then the card needs to be formatted and all the data is gone. The SD card works perfectly fine in the camera and everywhere else until I put it in this piece of GARBAGE.
