How to be a Pirate (Little Golden Book) Kindle Edition

This is my 2.5 year old niece's favorite book (and she is obsessed with Disney Princesses so that says a lot!). I originally bought it for our Disney Cruise Pirate night, but since then she wants it read to her every night...sometimes over and over again! By looking at the pictures she can say the whole book...including the word Scallywags! This is an adorable book for any little pirate lover or soon to be pirate lover. I highly recommend it! Golden books are never bad, but this one is the best of all of them!

My toddler loves this book. He mimicked the pirate words afterwards. He has a speech delay, so any books that he likes to repeat are a wonderful way to help him talk more without it being like school for him.

This book is adorable and a fun read. My 2 year old loves it. The illustrations are cute. It may seem weird, but it really makes me happy that it was written and illustrated by women. Not a lot of pirate stuff is marketed to girls, so it made me happy that the girl character is the one who dresses up as a captain. I would recommend this to anyone with little pirates of their own.

Was hoping to read this to the grandkids in preparation for a pirate treasure hunt I cooked up for them - its a very poor book - I could write a better book than this...in fact, I wanted to return it, and Amazon didn't even want it back...Don't waste your money or time.

very entertaining but we skipped over the Pirate's don't brush their teeth part

This book is fantastic!! My grandson loves pirates and this book is very fun to read. He kept asking us to read this every bedtime for a month. He was memorizing the parts and saying the pirate phrases while playing! Well written. Highly recommend!

Its better than a lot of books for toddlers out there, but something did not click with my kid. 3 stars for story, +1 stars because the illustrations are good, which in my opinion is very important and extremely hard to come by in young children books now. Its very thin. It is 24 pages, but looks thinner and smaller, because pages are just paper (not board) .Again, its not bad, but did not hold an interest of my 2.5 year old.

This is such a cute rhyming book! Our five year old loves it. Pictures are inviting and vocabulary is perfect for the pirate lovers. Would recommend it!
