Your browser does not support HTML5 video. The induction mechanism sounds like a smoke alarm. Listen to the video. Maybe I got a bad unit (I am the first reviewer) because nobody could stand that noise. This will be returned.

Powerful, fast, easy. Better than gas.
This induction cooktop works faster than my gas stovetop. It's easier than my microwave, because I can add ingredients while the pot is heating. And it's easier to wipe clean than either the stovetop or microwave.Just start on a low setting until you get used to its power. And don't walk away from the cooktop. It's that fast.For anyone concerned about climate change, this is definitely better than using gas. I also appreciate that it's portable, so I saved the box.

Fantastic Induction Stovetop
This is my second induction stove top ordered from Duxtop (Duxtop Portable Induction Cooktop, Induction Cooker 1800W Countertop Burner, 8500ST) because we wanted one for each of our two locations. This model has improved, as there is no noise when you power it on (the first one was very noisy). It works great, we love all the features,it has a great price, and it is energy efficient. It is so easy to clean. I would recommend this product 100%. When I'm out shopping for stainless steel cookware for this product, I carry a small magnet in my pocket -- if the magnet sticks to the cookware, the cookware will work on the induction stove top. Best Product Ever!

Excellent cooktop for small kitchen
Items heat up and cook faster than on a gas range. The other nice feature is that the induction cooktop does not get too hot even after some extended use. There is less risk of damaging a veneer type countertop when using the cooktop. The cooktop is lightweight so is ideal for traveling if going to a place were there is no access to a kitchen as long as you have access to electricity.

Nice addition to our cooking appliances
Needed something to use with our cast iron pots and pans. This works great and we can take it out on the patio if we don't want to smell up the house cooking something like brussel sprouts. Very convenient, good design.

The real joy of cooking.
I read reviews on the Duxtop cooktop and fell in love with it before it arrived. It's ease of use and instantaneous heating ability made it a joy to use. I began to use it daily and bought cookware to extend my use and joy of cooking meals. This product is as advertised and I recommend it to anyone who desires to cook. It easily deserves 5 stars.

Great buy
Really amazing cooktop. our stovetop is having a few difficulties. Had wanted to try an induction cooktop so thought this was perfect opportunity. It was great. Large cooking surface. Heats up very quickly. Able to get to desired temp fairly easily. I used green pan diamond edition and Le Creuset. No problem what so ever. Highly recommend it.
