I did my research on hair color cover ups because I need to stretch out my times between salon visits. This product was highly recommended by several sources. I tried it today. Did not disappoint! Got medium brown and red to blend for my preference. Easy to apply. No fuss, no muss. Blends beautifully and easy to remove from skin when needed. Extremely lightweight. Not sticky. Won’t come off when I run my fingers over the hair on which I applied it. Comes out completely when shampooed. I did find that it tends to adhere even better to “dirty” hair, which makes sense, as residual oils or hair product like gel or wax would help the powder adhere even more. It does work fine on clean hair, too. Just takes a bit more application. Love this and will definitely use to go longer between salon visits!

I did so much research before trying this and it is amazing. Lasts for days until I wash my hair. Doesn’t run even when I go swimming. Great coverage and easy to apply.

This is amazing and blends nicely with hair color and the coverage is great. Works for gray hair coverage and thinning hair.

I'm Jim's wife, not Jim. :) I have a few random grays throughout my dark brown hair, but my main problems are at my temples and one streak in my bangs. Well, it would be a streak, but I won't allow that to happen. Because I don't have a huge problem with the gray, and because, when I do get my hair done I'm only matching my natural color, I don't want to go more often than I need. It feels ridiculous to go and spend all that time and money on color when I just have a couple problem areas. At the same time, I am SO self-conscious about my gray that I can't just leave it alone either! Hence, my decision to try this out.It's been over 2 months since I went to the salon. I purchased this to tide me over until the next trip. Overall, I'm really happy with it! I use the small end to apply the powder to my problem areas. It shade the skin underneath the hair (which I guess is why some people use it to make their thinning hair look fuller) and it also coats the strands with color. It doesn't make the gray hair as dark as the others, but it darkens it enough so that it blends in naturally. I was thrilled!Apparently, it's supposed to last until the next shampooing. I didn't find this to be true at all. I'll apply it in the morning before work, and if I'm heading out at night I might touch it up again. I'll definitely need to apply it again the next morning.An irritating side effect is that the powder gets under my nails and makes me look like a serial gardener. This is probably because I'm habitually running my fingers through my hair. It washed out fairy easily, but it was another thing for me to be self-conscious about! Anyway, my solution was to keep my fingernails painted. :)All in all, four stars! The missing star is due to the fact that it needs reapplication fairly frequently and it sticks under my fingernails. But all in all, I'm thrilled!

This is good stuff. They discontinued my beloved tarte stick and I had to find a new fix. This is great. I don’t use it to cover skin, I use it to cover some grey in between my color. I have gray, but more brown than gray , so I can go in and do touch ups and it sprawls my dye times. I don’t like to dye often due to the fact that it isn’t great for us. Yet, I don’t like gray. This works.

It works by dulling my grey roots. I just wish there was more product & it was easier to use. I spent quite a bit of time & product trying to apply it to cover my grey roots. Then it was gone within about a week because I had to apply so much to get it to work. It’s comparable to the size of a small eye shadow pallet. So truly for temporary & in between hair service fix.

Light brown was too dark. I was 4 days past the return window. Should have exchanged for dark blonde.

This stuff is definitely worth it. Extends the time between coloring grays. It does rub off on your hands if you touch it but if you do it and leave it alone it’s fine. Covers well and even though it’s a little pricey you don’t use much so it lasts forever.
