Quality product!
Firstly I don’t normally write reviews unless I feel compelled to do so.This is my first manual coffee grinder and I am so impressed with it. Upon opening the amazon box I was greeted with a surprisingly large and robust box. The box had a real feel of sturdiness and quality about it. The lid for box is held in place by magnets. On opening the box there is a layer of protective foam, an instructions for use card and thank you business card. I removed the foam and got a first glimpse of the product and instantly felt relieved that my purchase was not a waste of money. The grinder is laid out in a strong protective foam with cutouts for each individual part - that is the top lid with handle, the main grinder body, 2 glass jars and a single screw on lid for the jars. Assembly and use is self explanatory and simple. Screw the jar onto the bottom of the grinder body, pour coffee beans into the top of the grinder body until level with drive shaft for the grinder, place the lid on top of the grinder body, twist the black ring on the centre of the grinder to the desired setting (1-6) and turn the handle! The coffee is collected in the jar attached to the grinder with no mess or loss of coffee. The grind on the coffee appears to be consistent and uniform on all settings. If you fill the top of the grinder with coffee beans it will hold roughly 18g max. On the finest setting (Position 1) that 18g of coffee takes around 70 seconds to grind which I am impressed with although I have nothing to gauge it against. I appreciate this is not a cheap product but you get what you pay for in this world and I am very impressed so far with this product.Pros:- nice heavy grinder body, 2 glass jars, super smooth grinder bearing, easy adjustment of grind, overall quality feel of the product.Cons:- you have to be careful how you hold the grinder as it is easy to alter the adjuster whilst grinding, instructions tell you to brush grinder after use so it would be nice to see a suitable sized brush included with the product, a second lid so you can use both jars for storing ground coffee.Overall I am extremely happy with my purchase and the cons listed above are minor gripes on what is a very good, quality product which hopefully will give me many years of use.

High quality designed in Germany
This is a stainless burr grinder which works perfectly for filter coffee. It grinds just the right amount for 1 or 2 cups of coffee very easily and quickly in about 1 minute. There are 2 glass jars so you can grind extra to keep for later in the day. 1 jar has a screw cap. The quality is excellent made to German standards but is probably manufactured in China like most things nowadays.I highly recommend this burr grinder, you can't go wrong as there are no electrics to burn out and having actually used this coffee grinder I can guarantee it works. Some other reviewers say it doesn't grind fine enough for espresso but I'm happy with the results on no. 3 for my filter coffee.Research indicates that burr grinders are better than blades as you get the full flavour extracted from the beans rather than blade cut ones. Additionally, steel burrs are better than ceramic. Steel burr grinders are more expensive but the results are better. I tried a manual ceramic burr grinder which was much cheaper but it took more than five minutes to produce enough for 1 cup of coffee which made my hand hurt and I'm sure the taste wasn't as good although I used the same batch of coffee beans. There is another product exactly the same by another seller on Amazon in black or silver called vevouk. They charge £10 more but it only comes with one jar, no screw on cap and the presentation box is not as nice if you want to give it as a gift. The box doesn't show the brand name like the Silberthal, there's just a card in the box.

Nice grinder
Good product easy to use. I would have liked an even finer grind though.

Excellent product
I'm absolutely delighted with this grinder. I'd been using an electric one which has blades, and so it chopped the beans rather than grinding them. I noticed the beans were ground more uniformly, and the coffee definitely tastes better. It's much easier to use, as the ground beans go into the glass jar, which is then easy to tip into my porta-filter.The quality is very good, and was beautifully packaged.

same cost as an electric grinder, but so much better by far!
Pretty awesome hand operated coffee mill. I'm so glad I made the right choice with a manual grinder rather then an electronic one, even though the cost of both is roughly the same. I feel with some TLC this'll last longer then something electric, which money well invested, plus I find manual grinding very therapeutic. How I grind coffee is my preference. I treat grinding coffee as if I was tapping a thread, I grind forward, stop, pull back slightly, and slowly push forward again. You stop as soon as you feel you have to force forward, by going back slightly to clear it you'll find going forward a lot easier again, plus by forcing forward you'll greater increase wear and tear and the possibility of breaking it.Go easy, enjoy the experience, and your new coffee mill will last longer then you.

Small, compact and easy to use.
Being the only coffee drinker in the household I find a small grinder ideal for me.

Feels solid
I bought this to replace one of the common manual coffee grinders with the ceramic burrs as a plastic component broke rendering it useless. This Silberthal grinder appears to be much more substantial and better made. All the visible components in the grinding mechanism appear to be stainless steel so this looks like it will last well. It's adjustable, with six settings between large grounds and basically powder which is excellent. So far, with two months of daily use, two grinds per day it is doing well. It comes in a very nice presentation box which would make it a nice gift but as I use mine daily I have no use for the box.

Material y finalidad correcta

Smooth grind
A bit heavy, but worth it for the perfect grind and ease of use
