Fantastic Rewards!
I have a reward program that I do with my daughter and these are so great for small rewards! She gets a capsule when she does something great, and she gets to turn the dial, open her doll piece and add it to her collection. Perfect for a reward system in terms of chores, or doing a good job on meals, or even potty training! Love it! It's small pieces but totally awesome. (And the best part - all the pieces are interchangeable!)

Unique toys
Got these as a gift for a little kid. When it came it was something I had never seen before, the packaging was sort of like a capsule vending machine which was pretty cool. There was a variety of toys/accessories that you could get, and were packaged so it would be a surprise. Would recommend buying, as they are interesting!

Hot toy for Christmas?
What I like: the unboxing is very fun, as it is like one of those toy vending machines at the grocery store. You get 5 capsules containing the pieces to put together one doll. You can also reload the capsules into the box if you want. The dolls are small but fully articulated; they bend at the head, shoulders, wrists, legs, knees, and feet. The pieces all come apart, so if you get more dolls you can mix and match to create your own designs. It also comes with a little doll stand. What I don’t like: You only get one doll in the box, so you have to buy more if you want to mix and match. I wish the dolls were a little bigger. I wouldn’t recommend for younger than 9 years old. Little kids will have trouble putting the small pieces together.

These could be so cute if they didnt fall apart quickly.
I like to collect a ton different styled dolls and figures - and this seemed right up my alley. I thought the art on these would make up for some of the problems i had heard the toys were having. The box is fun, but of course it's a lot of plastic if you dont want to keep the box and reuse it's mechanism.Once you get the doll out and see how it first together - it feels nice and interesting - but not revolutionary. The outfits and look of the doll are fine - a few of the outfits are very cute and a few of the characters you can make are adorable. When you actually build it - that's when the fun goes away quickly. The items are tiny, some of the things are going to break in a year or two of wear - and of course the body joints do not stick. I cant say how many times the dolls came apart at the waist while trying to get the feet into shoes or the hard plastic skirts to fit correctly. Then on one particular doll - the hair and the head had a large gap - which was hard to start to fix. The warping on the plastic can make the doll look closer to a bootleg then a real thing. I know about face plates and hair pieces - having had figmas - but these soft rubbery pieces can warp if near heat or crushed.Unsure if adult collectors or kids will love these past the intial set up - as you cant really play with these or pose them. They fall apart when you try to move them into different stances, or just dont do much else then stand. It's not that different then the stiff Lol suprise dolls - but i had wanted a little more from these due to the articulation.

Not worth retail, but definitely worth it at discount
To clarify, I purchased this product when it was ~$5 on here. I would not have paid retail price for these dolls, considering their mystery mechanic and the small size of the final doll. However, these dolls are very nice quality for their size and impressively articulated! As some have mentioned, the waist connection can be a little loose, but I plan to use them mainly for display. The pieces swap very nicely with dolls of other series. I am very happy with my purchase.
