UH Embossing Powder: a must-have for any card-maker!
I purchased this Ultra High Embossing Powder after watching a card-making video on YouTube. I've been making cards for a few months now, and I've learned that with stamping and embossing, sometimes it takes practice to get it just right. This product is no different; in my experience, it works best on thick cardstock (110#). Also, you need to heat it from the underside of the paper at first, until it starts to "melt" and then you can bring it to the front of the paper, like normal. It doesn't like to stick, so make sure you ink up your stamps well; I've even figured out that if I'm doing lots of stamping/embossing, even on just one card/project, I get better results if I stamp once or twice and then pour on this powder, even though I'm not taking long to stamp the entire card/project (I hope that makes sense!).If you're looking for a clear embossing powder for "everyday" stamping, I would pick the "plain" clear, UH gives you more shine but it also seems a bit more fickle to work with, and like I said, for me, it doesn't do as well on cardstock unless it's super thick. For the price, you get A LOT of powder (note: if you order the ultra fine clear, you get a tiny jar and it's a different type of embossing powder that works best for very detailed stamps).

tiniest bottle of embossing powder ever
The media could not be loaded. So tiny. I usually buy the XXL bottle of embossing powder so this tiny bottle looks like a cartoon. But I guess it all works the same. So there’s that.
