Not many people seem to know that the regular, common glucosamine supplements out there contain shark cartilage. Unfortunately it’s true, and it’s challenging to find vegan alternatives, but look no further because this is it! I started taking this supplement about nine months ago, I have a hole in my ankle cartilage that’s I’ve been struggling to heal from for four years. Since I started taking this, I have experienced improvement in my symptoms. Activities that were very painful I can now do, like skiing and running. I recommend this product if you need help healing from joint injuries and/or you take a regular glucosamine supplement and you are looking for one that is better for the environment and better for you.

This stuff is kosher and really works well. My knees especially are better when I am taking it.

I originally purchased this product for my mother who has experienced quite a bit of knee pain and some slight shoulder pain. Primarily these pains were in the joints. She didn't have great reactions to non-vegan products that are made from shellfish or other fish products so I decided to go vegan for her. She's experiencing quite a bit less discomfort in her knees and shoulders and honestly hasn't complained about them in quite some time.I decided I'd use it for some slight knee pain in my left knee and it definitely helps alleviate the discomfort I'd feel when I'd get up after sitting for a while. The product is affordable and for what it's worth, will help remedy joint discomfort... along with being a vegan option for those of us who prefer not to have animal byproducts in our supplements or simply don't react well to shellfish products.

I’m usually too lazy to leave reviews but I gotta say this stuff really works and if I ever forget to take it, I really do feel it the next day so don’t forget to take it. It’s amazing.

I love these supplements and have been taking them for over a year. I can definitely feel a difference in my joints. Vegan formulas aren't available in any of my local stores, so I'm lucky to be able to get these when I need them.

I have ordered and used this product for years and it works. If I don't take it, my knees have more joint pain. For me, it has to be vegetarian, which this product is.They used to be white and I never tasted them when I put them in my mouth to swallow. Then when I ordered in 2020, I found the tablets to be more of a off white speckled look. The tablets also had a taste that surprised me since I had been taking these for years. I emailed Deva to ask them about this and found the color and taste are due to Boswelia extract and they use less of a coating now. I love Frankincense, which comes from Boswelia trees and I could inhale that smell all day long. Since you are not going to suck on these tablets and the taste is not from chemicals, you should feel comfortable swallowing these and gaining the benefits to your body.

After taking almost the whole bottle of this, I am at a point where I have to decide whether or not to reorder. I think I won't, because I just don't feel this is doing a whole lot for me. I can maybe feel some changes, but not really enough for me to want to continue swallowing three extra pills every day. I would revisit this in the future if my problems get worse (right now they're fairly manageable on their own). For the record, I am 38 and don't have arthritis right now, but based on family history, that will likely be in my future.I was originally interested in this product because I am a vegetarian so I can't take the typical glucosamine and chondroitin supplements, which are sourced from shellfish. My right knee bothers me, cracks when I go down the stairs, etc. I was hoping that some sort of joint supplement could make a difference. And I did give it time, since I know these things are not instantaneous. I also was taking this along with a vegan DHA/EPA omega 3 fatty acid supplement, because what I have read is that these things work better together in terms of reducing joint inflammation.Several weeks in, I believe that I can tolerate certain types of exercise (say, step aerobics or high impact cardio like Focus T25) a little better than before. And my knee cracks maybe 25% less. So this isn't completely ineffective. But it's not a very dramatic improvement, either. I understand there may not be a vegetarian product that's going to be as effective as chondroitin (which I give to my dog, and for which I do see dramatic improvement).This did not cause any kind of irritation or allergic reaction or digestive upset. I took it with food and plenty of water. It is still worth trying because every person's physiology and joints are a little different and what is so-so for me could be great for someone else. Plus, there's just not a lot else out there in the category right now. (I do trust this brand; I've been happy with some of their vegan DHA/EPA supplements in the past.) 2.5 stars.
