Good if you want a small strong lock
The main appeal of this is the compact size for carrying on bike. If you have bottle mounts on your frame then this will neatly hold. I only leave my bike for short periods and have not had any attempt at theft, although other reviews do confirm it to be up to the job. The only thing to bear in mind is that the lock does not reach as far as it may look in photos - the final link needs to go at an angle to lock which limits the loop size.

Seems solid, nicely coated to avoid damage!
The lock seems pretty sturdy and I attempted a (moderate) effort to bend/stretch the lock - It seems strong enough to deter most I’d say.As with all of these folding locks, they rattle like mad when cycling - why can’t companies put a foam/fabric inner on the bracket? The only real negative is the locking itself - it’s quite tricky to line up the bolt with the hole when turning the key, especially when at a funny angle. Having a bayonet fitting/serrated socket might help with aligning this. Quite annoying when out in the freezing cold!

Sturdy Lock, but keeps sticking
Bought this as a pocket sized lock for Sunday cycle rides or for when commuting. The advantage of metal bars is its harder to break and easier to fold up to pack away. Unfortunately the links then makes it harder to fold round bike stands / metal posts etc.., but this is a minor moan and TBC I could have bought one with more links to make it easier. My biggest gripe is the locking mechanism and locking pin that keeps sticking, even after oiling - to a point where I've had a key bend in trying to unlock it. Bit of a shame as otherwise its well made.

Convenient and secure
Rally neat folding design makes this easy to carry on the bike. Seems strong.Long loop makes it easy to find things to lock bike to, though a little less flexible than a chain ..but so much easier to carry around when not in use than a similar chain would be.

A cheap alternative to a good lock
Has not fared well in the English Winter weather with the lock becoming stiff and difficult to use after a few weeks use. It connects nicely to the bicycle but there is rattling still at high speeds, can be difficult to connect sometimes due to the locking angle required.

Decent lock - let down by major design flaws
Firstly the positve.- Bought this for my wifes electric scooter, the supplied mount works great and its form factor means its easy to carry and replace back into the holder. She didnt want to carry a big bulky U shaped lock or chain.- Seems sturdy enough, scooter hasnt been robbed yet!Negatives- The locking mechanism is a total nightmare, unless the links are lined up just so the lock wont turn. Unfortunately the links dont fold up neatly against anything (like a swiss army knife does for example) they all flop about indepentantly meaning its fiddly and in the dark near impossible to achieve, this means getting the key even inserted can be a challenge.- The mechanism itself is not smooth, even when the stars align and you manage to insert and turn the key - its grating, not smooth. I'm fully expecting herself to call me from somewhere in a tizzy because she cannot undo the lock and needs rescuing.Would I recommend to a friend or buy again?, no I would not.

Great lock for the money
This is a great lock. I use this along with a d lock. Fits nice on my bike and is readily available when I need it. Fits nice on any bike. Easy to use.

Good quality!
Very robust solid lock. But very awkward to manoeuvre through the wheel and frame.Looks almost impossible to cut through.Easy to carry due to the included carrier. Good quality lock.
